Several organizations are offering day camps and other activities for kids and teens in the Tri-Cities during the summer of 2017. Check back for updates.

Academy of Children’s Theatre (ACT)

Academy of Children's Theatre offers camp, classes and programs for kids of all ages in the summer. Our camps run Monday-Friday and have a new theme each week! From Princesses to Star Wars and Harry Potter to Musical Theatre there’s something for every kid! Each camp ends in a sharing day!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties

The Boys & Girls Club is offering summer camps at two locations in Pasco. Their activities are designed for fun as well as to aid in the prevention of summer learning loss. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Summer camp

Legacy Jiu-Jitsu in Richland is offering two summer camps July 17-21 and August 14-18 designed for kids, ages 7-13, of all skill levels to learn how to defend for themselves. Each camp runs Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - Noon. The fee is $150 for non-members and $130 for members.

Camp Invention

Your child will not want to miss out on the chance to imagine, tinker and invent prototypes that they can take home with them this summer! The Illuminate curriculum features four energetic and fun-filled modules that incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities. This camp will be held July 17-21 at Mid-Columbia Partnership and is for those entering grades K-6.

Camp Trios - July 25-27 (registration due June 30)

Helping kids with diabetes stay happy and healthy
Location: Southridge Sports Complex and Tri-City Court Club

The Trios Diabetes Education Department and Trios Foundation is offering a 3-day camp for kids who have been diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes. The camp is available for children ages 6 to 14.


At camp, participants have the opportunity to build relationships with peers with similar health situations, learn how to manage their diabetes, and interact closely with mentors and volunteers who can relate to their experiences and offer advice - all while having fun. They’re also looking for teens ages 15-18 with Type 1 diabetes to help mentor younger children.

Challenger Sports Soccer Camps

There will be three Challenger Sports Soccer Camps offered this summer. Challenger Sports' British Soccer Camp will help young players improve their core techniques and become more confident on the ball. The curriculum includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games and coached scrimmages.

Expedition Einstein Summer STEM Camp

Expedition Einstein is a one week summer STEM camp for elementary students in grades 3-5 (for the 2016-17 school year). Throughout the week, campers will have the opportunity to learn about STEM, conduct a variety of safe, fun experiments, and make new friends!

Expedition Einstein is offered in two sessions, both one week each. Session 1 is July 17-21 at Tri-Cities Chinese Alliance Church from 9am-12pm. Session 2 is July 31-August 4 at the Richland Public Library from 10am-1pm.


There is a one-time registration fee of $50. This cost covers a camp t-shirt, lab materials for experiments and take-home creations, goggles, aprons, healthy snacks, and drinks. Registration form must be completed and payment must be sent in by July 1 for Session 1 or July 17 for Session 2.

French Camp - OUI à la Francophonie! - June 26-30

Knights of Columbus Hall in Richland
From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day

This year's theme is "OUI à la Francophonie!"

A celebration of French speaking countries. Camp is 5 afternons for two hours. Each day we will focus on a different French speaking country from our world. We will learn vocabulary, play games, make art projects, hear stories, learn songs, and cook foods that come from that day's country!

The evening of Friday June 30th we will have our annual Défilé de Mode- Fashion Show - from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fashion show includes a catered dinner. All families who participate in camp will get a discount on the fashion show when fashion show tickets are purchased online.

Hanford Drama's FAME Camp

A singing, acting, dancing and tech day camp for middle school students (entering grades 7-9). Campers will interact one-on-one with both adults and older students, all of whom bring diverse experience and interests to the FAME program. The Summer Enrichment program is an opportunity for students, K - 5th Grade, to continue engaging in educational opportunities throughout the summer. Imagine singing all morning for a week this summer! The Mid-Columbia Boys' Choir is pleased to be hosting the annual Summer Camp with directors JoLyn Glenn and Kurtis McFadden. Reading and Spelling Camp

The annual reading and spelling camp in Richland will teach participants penmanship, reading and comprehension skills, spelling rules and grammar. The Tri-Cities Steel Band Association (TCSBA)
